Edgars Sniegs is one of Latvia’s most experienced and still active freestyle rappers. He has competed in countless Ghetto Games freestyle rap battles, "Štuka par bazaru," and for nearly a decade has been a member of "Brīvrunu Projekts"(Freestyle Project), Latvia’s first rap improvisation theatre. Together with the group, he has performed at some of Latvia’s largest concert halls and festivals.
Today, Sniegs and his team organize the "Štuka par bazaru" freestyle rap battles, continuing to develop and strengthen Latvia’s freestyle rap culture. Earlier this year, his documentary film "Because Life Is a Battle" (Jo dzīve ir batls), which he directed, premiered on the Go3 streaming platform. Alongside his creative work, he was part of Gustavo’s management team, contributing to the journey toward Latvia’s first-ever rap concert at Arena Riga. Today, he is responsible for developing partnerships and sponsorships for Ghetto Games.
At the Ghetto Games Festival, Edgars Sniegs will make his long-awaited return to the stage with his first solo concert in nearly 20 years. The performance will feature songs from his upcoming album "Say It Out Loud" (Pasaki to skaļi), alongside fan-favorite tracks. He will be joined on stage by singer Pēteris Upelnieks, who co-wrote and performs much of the new album’s material, creating a unique and memorable concert experience.
